The SpeechExpert software reads aloud the articles in the Internet or stored in the computer. This feature can be useful for the old, young or others who have difficulty in reading small characters on the monitor. SpeechExpert can read the articles in languages and multiple voices. The articles are added to the reading list overcoming any difficulty of reading the small characters on the monitor. Additional toolkits are available to convert articles into audio files in wave or mp3 format for listening without speech expert later. SpeechExpert supports reading multiple files and it can switch from one to another quickly and label them as read, reading and deleted. SpeechExpert is free and has no time limitations or restrictive features. Registration is not necessary either but it can remove the advertisement banner and the delay when starting the software. SpeechExpert uses Microsoft Speech API Engine 5.0 (SAPI) which is a built in WindowsXP to read the text in different languages. The SpeechExpert can be started from the Internet Explorer or from Start Menu like any other program. The properties of the article like Title, URL, Language, Voice name, Rate of reading article, Volume of reading etc. can be set or modified after an article is added. Some keys which are used frequently are assigned accelerated keys for reading like to start, Pause, Stop, Delete, Drag & Drop etc. The longest article can be read by SpeechExpert is 480KB. The help menu is elaborate and the software can be used gainfully for all ages of users.
